Referee Made The Right Decision With Costa,Conte Says

Chelsea coach Antonio Conte believe the referee was correct in keeping Diego Costa on the Pitch before his winning goal against Westham last night.

Antonio Conte says "The referee made the right decision"to not sent-off Costa before his 89th minute goal in chelsea's 2:1 win against Westham at Stamford bridge on Monday.

Costa was already on a yellow when he caught Westham Keeper Adrian high on his shin in the second half, but the referee deemed it not to be deliberate.

Conte 47,said "he didn't see the tackle"before adding:"I saw Costa put pressure on the keeper and then try to stop"Conte told reporters.

"Diego is a good player and a passionate manot sometimes it happens that he can receive yellow card".

"I think in the situation with Adriano,he made the right decision".

In relation to the tackle,Westham manager Slaven Bilic concluded it had no malicious intent, but thinks Costa deserves a second booking.

"It was not reckless or deliberate, but it was quite late." Bilic said.

"He could have been booked again and so a yellow card.I'm not frustrated because of that,i'm frustrated because of the late goal."

James Collins canceled out Eden Hazard 47th minute penalty, before Costa calmly finished to secure the maximum three point before the match ended.

Conte living up to his reputation as animated character on the touchline, rushed to embrace fans in celebrating Costa's winning goal.

The Italian after admitting he was not relaxed in the lead up of chelsea's premier League opener, jokingly added he might not sleep because of the win.

"I knew the premier League through television.I played against English team in the Champions League and Europa, but playing this league is very difficult."Conte said.

"There is a great intensity in the premier League and it's very physica.I don't know if I will sleep tonight because the adrenaline is very high."
