 Review

The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro has arrived, and it looks trim and toned—and thirsty for Ford Mustang blood.

Yes,the Ford Mustang. There’s simply no way to avoid the Mustang when you discuss the Camaro , just as there’s no denying that the Ford largely overshadowed the Chevy for five decades. perhaps worst of all for bow-tie fans, that the Camaro has usually lost to the Mustang in our comparison tests.

But the slate has been wiped clean; the road course, drag strip, and Woodward Avenue freshly prepared for battle; and the Camaro reinvigorated with more muscle and a plethora of new technologies. This should be good.

The Camaro is entirely new for 2016. It uses the same light, rear-wheel-drive architecture as the Cadillac ATS and CTS sport sedans. It just began rolling out of the same plant as the Caddies in Lansing, Mich. A convertible should hit the road in time for spring.

Well the 2016 camaro is still of same engine with the last year's V-6, but entirely new, more efficient and powerful. It's got cylinder deactivation to save fuel. The system works imperceptibly. The official fuel-economy rating isn't available yet, but I averaged a pretty good 26.5 miles per gallon in a long drive that included highway, twisting country roads, hills and construction zones.

The 2016 camaro is 300 pounds lighter than the previous camaro.that Weight savings contribute  to acceleration and handling as well as fuel economy.

The Camaro is smooth and stable in quick maneuvers and feels planted on fast sweeping curves. There's very little body roll, squat or dive.

Despite its reduced weight, Chevy says the new Camaro's chassis is 28% stiffer.

The 2016 Camaro will come equipped with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Capability features. However, only one of their phone brands at one time can be used.
