Bay Garnett Love For Vintage,Share Memories Of Hanging Out With Iris Palmer,Kira Jolliffe And Anita Pallenberg

"I KNOW straight away when i found a great vintage piece,"Bay said this in an interview with Vogue last night, honning her market shopping skills."it's an unmistakable feeling.you have to feel that certain excitement in order to buy something. At least i do,it's taken 20 years!"

West London's Portobello and Golborne Road markets are vintage trawling spot that garnett holds dear, the latter has inspired a couple of collections for Mih Jeans.

the Fashion Stylist said that "memories of hanging out with Iris Palmer,Kira Jolliffe and Anita Pallenberg in the early Nineties, influenced the eight piece edit."We had so much fun hunting down cheap stuffs together.Iris would wear pink toweling tracksuit bottoms with a red swimsuit and high heels,or a pair of orange cords and a navy polo neck.Anita, who have the most diverse style and open eye of anyone i'd ever met, would wear Levis 501s with a cashmere top, chanel pumps, the best old belt and huge over-the-top earrings.she said We'd go from mixed-top eclecticism to pared-down the Seventies cool."

Of all the design, shich include a [pair of jeans inspired by the failsafe flares she has styled in numerous Vogue shoots and Chloe Sevigny, the Anita top is her favorite, she said.its based on a brilliantly simple moss-green Cambridge top that Pallenberg once borrowed from Keith Richards, and that i later borrowed from her.it's quitely very rock 'n' roll.A Oriental-inspired black top with a dawn string waist and button neck comes at a close second."It has a brilliant fusion of Seventies pinched shoulders and a dash of Victoriana.I think Carley Simon and Stevie Nicks would have loved it."

Apart from that feeling, how does Garnett know when a piece, such as the pink butterfly dress found on the Golborne Road, styled on Grace Hertzol in Vogue and now reimagined for Mih,and has longevity and its worth the money?

"Always go market shopping with an idea of with what you are looking for"the stylist explained."I think it's good to have focus;a bit of a mission.you might not find it,but it's good to have a starting point.

There,"go around the market first before you buy.it gives you time to know if you really love an item, and you  might even see what you love more."Time is the final key to Garnett's shopping success:"You need to really look and feel the clothes,so go when you have nothing else on."the fashion stylist advised.

You will definitely find her on Golborne Road on Friday mornings-"there's such a genuine vibe
that still exist there, expecially during the early hours,"but if Ladbroke Grove's not convenient for you,her Mih Jeans collections is just as authentic  and full of stories.

some notable celebrities wore the design during the Nineties and early Noughties which makes the design a Trending one at that time.here are some notable celebrity looks from that golden era of going "Out Out",from beckham to destiny child, rihanna, victoria beckham and so many other celebrities.

David Beckham

in 1999,beckham has just taken his girlfriend to the Ivy on a date.the former pop star wore a sequined strapless top-or "boob tube" as they were aptly called-and dark high-waisted denim for the occasion.

Destiny Child

Kelly Rowland,Beyonce Knowles, and Michelle Williams tapped into the trend at any possible opportunity during that fashion era -and threw extra rhinestones into the mix.
